Privacy Policy
What we collect, who sees it, and the choices you have, in plain language.
Last updated: October 2026Short version
PlainPrint is a free, privately run Medicare information guide. If you only read it, we learn very little about you. If you ask for a call, we collect what you tell us and pass it to independent agents so they can contact you. This page explains all of that in detail. We are not the government, not Medicare, and not an insurer.
Who is responsible for your information
PlainPrint (“we,” “us”) operates plainprintmedicare.site. We are a private company with no affiliation with, endorsement by or connection to the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program.
What we collect
- What you type into the request form: usually your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, date of birth or age range, and information about your current coverage.
- Automatic information: your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit and how you arrived.
- Your text size choice: saved only on your own device in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It is never sent to us.
Please never type a Social Security number, Medicare Number, bank account or card number into a form on this site. We do not need them.
How we use what we collect
To respond to your request and match it to partners who may serve your area; to run, secure and improve the site; to understand how people use our pages and measure our advertising; to prevent misuse; and to follow the law.
Who receives your information
If you submit the request form and consent, we share that information with independent insurance agents, agencies and related organizations (“partners”) so that they can contact you about Medicare plan options. See the partners page for organizations that may receive requests; the list can change. Partners use your information under their own privacy practices. We also use service providers for hosting, analytics and form handling, and we may disclose information if the law requires it or if our business is sold or merged. Simply reading pages or changing the text size does not send your personal information to partners.
Permission to contact you (TCPA)
When you submit the form, you may be asked to agree that we and our partners may contact you by phone, text message and email, including with an automatic telephone dialing system and prerecorded or artificial-voice messages, at the number and address you give, even if your number is on a state or national Do Not Call list. You do not have to agree in order to read this site or to buy anything. Message and data rates may apply. To stop, reply STOP to a text, tell the caller to stop, or email privacy@plainprintmedicare.site. The consent wording shown beside the form controls if it differs from this summary.
Cookies
We and our vendors may use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, to count visits and to measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work as well without them.
Your choices
- Tell any partner who contacts you to stop. They must honor reasonable requests.
- Email us and we will pass your request to partners where we can.
- Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply STOP to any text.
- Where the law requires, we treat a browser Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing.
Privacy rights in California and other states (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California or another state with a privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared; to ask us to delete or correct it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to be free from discrimination for using these rights. Sending your request to partners at your direction may count as a “sale” or “sharing” under some laws. To make a request, email privacy@plainprintmedicare.site with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may ask you to confirm your identity. An authorized agent may act for you. We will answer within the time the law allows.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Keeping information safe, and for how long
We use reasonable technical, administrative and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure. We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons above or the law requires, then delete or de-identify it.
Links to other websites
This site links to places such as Medicare.gov and to partners. We do not control those sites or their privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
